Carman United Church
COVID 19 Global Pandemic Response

Friends, on March 16 at 2pm, we had an emergency Church Council meeting to discuss our response and actions regarding the global pandemic, COVID19.

Effective immediately Carman United Church, 1 Clyde Avenue is closed indefinitely to all activities including worship, meetings, outside groups and rentals. The building will be open to staff only and locked at all times. Funerals will be conducted as needed, but for families only and without receptions or visitations. Once the threat of the pandemic has passed, we will communicate information regarding our reopening.

However, just because our building is closed, it does not mean our ministry has ceased to function. If you have pastoral concerns, please call the office at 902-736-9233.

If you are in need of someone to pick up prescriptions, groceries, or anything, and have no one else to call, please call the office.

Rev. Nick is also going to be offering a shorter online version of church each weekend while we are physically closed. You may tune in through our website, http://www.carmanunited.ca/messages, or through our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/carmanunited/

We encourage everyone to take every possible caution in protecting not only yourself, but the wonderful people of the communities in which we live. Wash your hands. Go out only if necessary, and practice safe distances from others when you do go out.

The expenses of the church will continue, we will still have salaries and bills to pay. So we ask as much as you are able, to continue to support our church through your offering. If you wish to have donations picked up, please call the office. If you are not on our monthly PAR service and wish to donate electronically, you can do so through our website. You also may choose to drop off or mail your donation to the church at:

We will get through this together. Even in self-isolation, we are not alone. We have each other, and we have our God who is with us always.

Join us in praying for each other and the world around us. If you have specific prayer requests, you are welcome to call the office or email Rev. Nick at carman@carmanunited.ca

Prayers and blessings to our Carman family.
